Tour de France 2020, Andersen concede il bis

Soren Kragh Andersen concede il bis al Tour de France 2020: il danese della Sunweb, già vittorioso a Lione, taglia a braccia alzate anche il traguardo di Champagnole grazie ad un assolo nel finale. Invariata la generale.

Dopo tante salite e in attesa della cronoscalata a La Planche des belles filles, la Grande Boucle vive una giornata sulla carta interlocutoria: tanti saliscendi, ma nessuna asperità degna di nota e un solo GPM di quarta categoria.

Frazione adatta alle fughe, dunque. A centrare quella giusta, comunque, è solo un uomo, Remi Cavagna (Deceuninck – Quick Step), che essendo per l’appunto senza compagni, è facile bersaglio del plotone, che controlla, lo lascia tanti chilometri in testa e poi va a riprenderlo ai meno quaranta all’arrivo.

Ma la tappa non è certo finita perché subito parte un nuovo attacco, stavolta più nutrito e di maggior spessore: vanno in avanscoperta due uomini della CCC (Greg Van Avermaet e Matteo Trentin), due della Sunweb (Nikias Arndt e Soren Kragh Andersen), due della Mitchelton Scott (Jack Bauer e Luka Mezgec) e due della Deceuninck-Quick Step (Sam Bennett e Dries Devenyns), oltre a Peter Sagan della Bora Hansgrohe, Oliver Naesen della Ag2r La Mondiale, Jasper Stuyven della Trek Segafredo e Luke Rowe della Ineos

Mentre il gruppo molla, davanti la presenza di tante coppie rischia di rendere troppo tattica la corsa, così Andersen rompe gli indugi e parte tutto solo, acquisendo in poco tempo un vantaggio di mezzo minuto.

Ed è l’azione buona: nessuno gli va dietro, anzi non c’è alcun accordo nell’inseguimento, per cui il danese, già protagonista di un assolo a Lione, si prende il lusso di regalarsi un’altra bella soddisfazione. E per la sua squadra è tris in questa Grande Boucle.

Seconda posizione per Megzec, seguito da Stuyven. Bennett davanti a Sagan e Trentin e quindi allunga ormai in maniera definitiva nella classifica della maglia verde. Decimo posto per il nostro portacolori.

Il gruppo arriva compatto dopo oltre sette minuti: Primoz Roglic in maglia gialla ad un giorno dalla tappa decisiva, la cronometro che può sorridergli e regalare la vittoria finale.
