Anteprima Nokere Koerse 2017

Mercoledì 15 marzo 2017: il calendario belga prosegue la sua marcia di avvicinamento alle grandi Classiche con la Nokere Koerse – Danilith Classic, gara nata nel 1944, classificata 1.HC e giunta alla 71^ edizione. Un solo italiano presente nell’albo d’oro: è Francesco Chicchi, primo nel 2012. Il campione uscente è Timothy Dupont.

 Diretta su Eurosport 2 dalle ore 15.

 Rimane invariato il tracciato della corsa rispetto alle annate precedenti. Si parte da Deinze e si arriva a Nokere dopo 192.7 km. La prima parte (82 km) è in linea ed è caratterizzata dalle scalate a Vossenhol  e Nokereberg  (due volte). Proprio quest’ultima (400 metri al 6%) è il punto focale del circuito successivo, che va ripetuto per sette volte: l’ultimo passaggio in vetta coincide con il traguardo. Scorrendo l’albo d’oro, si nota come tutte le asperità non rappresentino un ostacolo insormontabile neppure per i velocisti, che solitamente sono qui a giocarsi il successo.

 Sono 22 le squadre a comporre la startlist della Nokere-Koerse 2017: di queste, 6 sono le WorldTour (Lotto Soudal, LottoNL-Jumbo, Sunweb, Bmc, Bora-Hansgrohe, Katusha-Alpecin); 12 Professional (Wanty-Gobert, Veranda’s Willems, SportVlaanderen-Baloise, WB Veranclassic, Roompot, Cofidis, Direct Energie, Fortuneo-Vital, Israel Cycling Academy, CCC Sprandi, Gazprom-RusVelo, Aqua Blue Sport e Nippo-Vini Fantini); 4 Continental (Cibel-Cebon, Joker Icopal, Pauwels Sauzen, tarteletto-Isorex).

Con il numero uno c’è il campione uscente Timothy Dupont (Veranda’s Willems), quest’anno ancora alla ricerca del primo acuto. A contendergli la vittoria sarà prima di tutto Nacer Bouhanni ( Cofidis), seguito, poi, dai vari Sean De Bie (Lotto Soudal), Twan Castelijns (LottoNL-Jumbo), Maxim Belkov (Katusha-Alpecin), Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe), Silvan Dillier (Bmc), Roy Jans (WB Veranclassic), Daniel McLay (Fortuneo-Vital Concept), Etienne Van Empel (SportVlaanderen-Baloise), Adam Blythe (Aqua Blue Sport) e gli italiani Danilo Napolitano e Andrea Pasqualon (Wanty-Gobert) e Nicolas Marini (Nippo-Vini Fantini).
