Anteprima Route Adélie de Vitré 2017

Nata nel 1996 in sostituzione del vecchio Tour de l’Armorique, la Route Adélie de Vitré, in programma venerdì 31 marzo, fa parte dell’Uci Europe Tour, categoria 1.1, e al tempo stesso del circuito della Coppa di Francia. Solitamente appannaggio di velocisti, ha nell’estone Jan Kirsippu il recordman di vittorie (due) e in Roberto Ferrari nel 2012 e Alessandro Malaguti nel 2013 gli unici due azzurri capaci di primeggiare. Bryan Coquard è il vincitore 2016.

 Ci troviamo nel dipartimento dell’Ille-et-Vilaine, regione della Bretagna. La gara è costituita da 197.8 km suddivisi in due differenti circuiti. Il primo anello, la Grande Boucle, misura 21.1 km e va ripetuto sei volte (all’interno troviamo la Cote de Chenelier e la Cote de Perouse); un secondo anello, la Petit Boucle, è di 8.9 km e va affrontato otto volte (ancora una volta è la Cote de Chenelier il punto focale). Infine, un ultimo tratto in linea di tre chilometri, con gli ultimi 300 metri in leggera salita che non dovrebbero costituire un grosso ostacolo per gli sprinter presenti in gruppo.

 A comporre la startlist della Route Adelie troviamo le due WorldTour di casa (Ag2R la Mondiale e FDJ);, le otto Professional Cofidis, Delko Mairselle Provence KTM, Direct Energie, Fortuneo-Vital Concept, Gazprom-RusVelo, Team Novo Nordisk, Manzana Postobon, Androni-Sidermec; le sei Continental Voralberg, HP BTP-Auber 93, Roth-Akros, Roubaix-Lille Metropole, Armée de Terre, Equipo Bolivia. In totale, dunque, sedici formazioni.

I due team della massima serie schierano come leader Samuel Dumoulin (Ag2R) e Kevin Reza (FDJ). Tra le altre, invece, citiamo le presenze di Julien Simon (Cofidis), Thomas Boudat (Direct Energie), Jetse Bol (Manzana Postobon), Romain Hardy (Fortuneo), Benjamin Giraud (Delko  Marseille), Roman Maikin (Gazprom) e gli italiani della Androni Marco Benfatto, Matteo Malucelli e Andrea Palini.
