Anteprima GP La Marseillaise 2018

Non è più il Grand Prix d’Ouverture, ovvero il debutto ufficiale della stagione europea, ma il GP La Marseillaise 2018, che domenica 28 gennaio giungerà alla 38^ edizione, segna comunque l’esordio di quella francese.

Nato nel 1980 e conosciuto nel corso degli anni con diverse denominazioni, la gara in linea 1.1 ha in Artur Vichot il campione uscente, mentre nel 2016 si piazzò al primo posto il belga Dries Devenyns. Tre gli atleti capaci di trionfare per due volte, i belgi Eddy Planckaert ed Edwig Van Hooydonck e l’australiano Baden Cooke, mentre sono due i successi azzurri: quello di Fabiano Fontanelli nel 1996 e quello di Marco Saligari tre anni più tardi.

 Resta immutato, rispetto a dodici mesi fa, il percorso del GP La Marseillaise 2018. Sono 146 i km da affrontare attorno alla città di Marsiglia: partenza davanti alla sede del Dipartimento delle Bocche del Rodano, arrivo allo Stade de Velodrome, dove la scorsa estate si è conclusa la bellissima cronometro del Tour de France.

È un tracciato mosso, ma che non esclude l’arrivo di corridori veloci, i quali dovranno resistere sui diversi strappetti da superare: tra questi, la Route des Crêtes di Cassis e il Col de la Gineste, collocati rispettivamente ai meno venti e ai meno dieci km al traguardo.
