Anteprima E3 Saxo Bank Classic – Harelbeke 2021: percorso, startlist, guida tv

Saltato un giro causa Covid, il Saxo Bank E3 Harelbeke torna a disputarsi: l’edizione 2021 del “mini Fiandre” è in programma venerdì 26 marzo. Il ceco Zdenek Stybar è l’ultimo vincitore, mentre il più vittorioso è Tom Boonen (tre successi). Filippo Pozzato l’unico italiano capace di imporsi (era il 2009).

 Sono 204 i chilometri in programma con partenza ed arrivo ad Harelbeke, nelle Fiandre. E sono 17 i muri da affrontare, per un dislivello totale vicino ai 2500 metri.

La corsa si deciderà presumibilmente sugli ultimi, a cominciare dal Kapelleberg con i suoi 750 metri al 7,1%, seguito dal Paterberg (400 metri al 12,9%), a poco meno di 40 km dal traguardo.

Infine, Oude Kwaremont (2,200 metri al 4%), Karnemelkbeekstraat (1,530 metri al 5%) e Tiegenberg (750 metri al 5,6%), l’ultimo dei quali ai meno 19 km alla conclusione.

STARTLIST A comporre la startlist del GP Harelbeke concorrono le diciannove squadre WorldTour e le seguenti Professional invitate: Alpecin-Fenix, Bingoal WB, SportVlaanderen-Baloise, Total Direct Energie, Uno X Norvegian e l’italiana Vini Zabù.

La sfida più attesa è quella tra i due delusi della Milano-Sanremo, vale a dire Mathieu Van Der Poel (Alpecin-Fenix) e Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma), mentre sarà assente il terzo incomodo, Julian Alaphilippe.

Sono loro i favoriti d’obbligo, ma sono tanti coloro che aspirano al massimo risultato, a partire dal campione uscente Zdenek Stybar (Deceuninck-Quick Step) coadiuvato dai compagni di squadra Yves Lampaert e Davide Ballerini.
