Anteprima GP Plumelec-Morbihan 2017

Sullo stesso percorso che nel settembre 2016 ha assegnato il primo titolo europeo riservato ai professionisti (a conquistarlo, manco a dirlo, Peter Sagan), dal 1974 si corre il Grand Prix de Plumelec-Morbihan: si tratta di una corsa in linea 1.1 che è parte dell’Uci Europe Tour e della Coppa di Francia.

Il campione uscente, il corridore di casa Samuel Dumoulin, detiene il record di vittorie (due) assieme ai connazionali Patrice Halgand e Julien Simon. Non compaiono italiani nell’albo d’oro. La 41^ edizione andrà in scena sabato 27 maggio.

 Regione della Bretagna, dipartimento del Morbihan, città di Plumelec: qui si svolge il GP Plumelec-Morbihan 2017. Il percorso, 182 km, è costituito da una  prima parte in linea che prende avvio dalla cima della Coute de Cadoudal, il simbolo della corsa, salita di 1.7 km al 6.2% di pendenza media (max 7.5%) posta a 160 metri d’altitudine.

Affrontati i primi 40 km, si entra nel Grande Circuito lungo 13.9 km da ripetere per sei volte, seguito dal Piccolo Circuito di 7.7 km da affrontare lo stesso numero di volte. A caratterizzare ogni tornata è la già citata Cote de Cadoudal, i cui continui passaggi contribuiscono solitamente a scremare il gruppo mettendo fuori gioco i velocisti puri. In cima all’ultimo transito è posto il traguardo.
